Green Award

The Green Award programme was established in 1994. The Green Award Foundation uses the voluntary programme to stimulate cleaner and safer shipping among shipping companies. The certification process consists of an office audit and an audit of the ship to be certified. The assessment focuses on personnel, operational, environmental and management aspects. The Green Award is only awarded to ships that meet high quality, safety and environmental requirements. Ports and maritime service providers offer incentives to vessels with the certificate, including discounts on port dues, products and various services. M.Remie Tankvaart holds a Green Award certificate for both tankers.
